To maximize your enjoyment of this web site, below you
will find instructions and guidance relating to some of the primary features
of the site.
Monitor Settings
To optimize your viewing of this site, it
is recommended that you set your monitor resolution to 1024 by 768. The
process for changing your monitor resolution may vary depending on the
operating system that you have installed on your computer. In a Microsoft
windows environment you can usually right click on the desktop and select
properties from the popup menu. Then select the settings tab and under
screen resolution move the slider to 1024 by 768.
**The F11 key (PCs only) allows you to
toggle back and forth between displaying and hiding the tool bar at the
top of your screen so that you can enjoy more of a web page without resorting
to scrolling.
Navigation
- The horizontal bar (top rail) under
the logo contains the primary links for navigating through the site;
in many cases, there is a secondary horizontal bar with links which
are subsets to the primary bar. When you click on links at the lowest
bar level, it will take you to the assigned page(s) on the site
- Always move your cursor across words
and pictures.
- If the color, size or font changes,
that means a link is embedded which allow you to click to go to
another level of images or information.
- If you see a hand with a pointing
finger -- that also means that a link is embedded.
- Artist Gallery: Images of artwork
- Clicking on an Artist's name on
the Home Page or All Artist (Home Page or the Horizontal
Bar under Art Galleries) will take you to the first
level of an artist's gallery will show 4 thumbnail
images which show only a portion of the full artwork
- Clicking on any of the thumbnails will take you to the second
level shows a full image of the artwork. This level
also has interactive features which allows you to record your comments
as well as view the comments of others (after registering plus signing
in)
- Clicking on the magnifying glass under the full image in the second
level will take you to the third level
which displays an enlarged image of the artwork.
Features, selected
- Every work of art in the galleries
has a Comment section provides an opportunity
for the viewer to record comments about the particular work of art as
well as see the comments of other viewers.
- My Personal Gallery
enables the viewer to select artwork from the various artist galleries
and place them a personal gallery for repeat viewing
